SHADEZ THE MISFIT
South London Resident Tazar Sancho recognized as his stage name Shadez The Misfit is known for delivering thought-provoking and cleverly assembled real life related lyrics, on a combination of electro tinted and futuristic sounding tracks, common in the work of Drake, N*E*R*D and Kendrick Lamar. Just as they have achieved Shadez aims to bring his sound to the masses.
Having created a stir on the underground with performances at the Walthamstow Festival, The Cordless Show & Lovebox Festival, Shadez came to mainstream attention when he won the Channel 4 Evo Music Rooms unsigned competition ahead of thousands of other bands & performed live on national tv alongside Plan B, amongst others. Shadez has released 2 free to download mixtapes to date ‘Misfit Maximus’ & ‘Misfit Maximus II’ both receiving over 5,000 downloads each thus firmly establishing himself as one to watch with online reviews & features from the likes of MTV Base, Complex, and Dazed & Confused amongst others
Shadez also hosted and performed regularly at the G Shock Sessions that have seen the likes of Sway, Wretch 32, Gfrsh, Ghostpoet & Wizard Sleeve amongst others perform. He was also recently asked by legendary US producer Ski Beatz (Jay Z, Camp Lo etc) to perform live with him & feature on his 24 Hr Karate School project. He also featured on the well known producer & Radio 1 DJ Toddla T’s official Redbull Mixtape on a track called “Breakin space”.
Shadez was also chosen by Katie Eary (Kanye West’s designer) to model for her show in conjunction with Puma at London Fashion Week & has also featured in an online campaign for Samsung.
Shadez is more than just a talented music artist, he is also something of a young veteran in clothing and design, a designer since his early teens, he has worked his craft for years He has built a selection of business partners including Ask Your Girl Clothing, BAPE, Converse, Swarovski and many more. Having designed for such an array of clothing brands, this lead to being hailed by Dazed and Confused Magazine for his brilliant fashion intelligence and music. With such a strong image and already holding the title of being a ‘trend setter’, the only way for Shadez is up!
With the release of his mixtape Misfit Maximus & Misfit Maximus 2 , there is consistency in the quality and dedication put into what Shadez releases. Determined to have every song just as catchy and thorough as the last, Shadez will easily demonstrate that the Misfit doesn’t slack after the first track.
